A thing I never thought I'd say to my mechanic

So I took the Soul to my mechanic yesterday to get the oil changed and the front suspension looked over because of strange wear. In the course of the transaction he reveals that he has a bias against Ford and is not sad Bullmobile will no longer darken his bay doors, but he looks at me and goes, “Hey, you’ve got both you nipples pierced?”

I do in fact have both my nipples pierced and they’re pretty prominent on any given day so I’m a bit confused as to why he’s just noticing. So we get to chatting about piercings and what not and I tell him the getting my nipples pierced was one of the most painful things I ever have done.

My mechanics goes, “Really? Do you have any tattoos?” I do in fact have tattoos and one is almost always visible. He thinks that his tattoos, of which there are many were more painful than his nipple.

So I say to him, “Well, maybe my nipples are just more sensitive than yours?” as that sank in I then said, “Well, that’s something I never thought I’d say to my mechanic.”

How is it? I’ve kind of thought about doing it but I’ve heard that sensitivity can actually be reduced by piercing from some people.

An old room mate had his pierced prior to me moving in. He got it done on a trip to Mexico. He didn’t give it time to heal or played with them too much they got infected and had to have them removed.

I have no piercings or tattoos. No pain, no pain.

So, I’ve had it done for over a decade and it has not reduced sensitivity, but I’m not sure I remember without them. They were insanely sensitive for the first month. You really don’t notice the things that hit your nipples throughout the day; shirts, seat belts, gentle puffs of air.

Some regret was had during the healing process.

Not too long after I had them done I was getting out of my car and I got a static shock right to the left nipple. I cried and I’m not ashamed.

Umm, not really. A 350lb guy at the bar lifting his shirt and pulling on his nipple piercings. So while buzzed it was more of an attention thing. And I recall going to the bar 5 nights or more a week when I lived with him

I used to work at a tv station where sometimes I’d operate the studio cameras. Kinda looked something like this:

See those handles the camera ops are holding onto? They let you pan and tilt the camera, but they also have controls for operating the zoom. They’re so well lubricated so that your shots are smooth that they’ll practically move just by thinking about moving them.

Anyway... I had the camera boomed up high, the way this woman in the photo has it. I’d let go of the camera and turned my back to it and hadn’t realized that it shifted, so when I turned back around, I rammed one of my boobs right into the end of one of the control arms. I hit it so hard, I felt the damn thing bounce off my ribcage. Needless to say, I doubled over and was in an intense amount of pain for a few minutes. I imagine that’s what it feels like to be kicked in the nuts.

I didn’t cry, though. :) Heh.

Oh my. I read that wrong. Just took out the rings. The nipples stayed. They healed back up.

No, It a long story, but my tongue swelled too much and I needed a longer bar. Went back and my prefered piercer wasn’t in and the guy that was there was on something and spent a hour and 45 minutes trying to get one in. It was the most painful experience I have ever had.
